Michael P. Kalish

Michael P. Kalish has an extensive background in Social Security disability, personal injury, consumer law, real estate, veterans benefits and litigation. Michael first began assisting and representing social security claimants as a law student while working for the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii and later as a staff attorney. Michael has substantial experience in handling all aspects of the disability litigation process from initial application, through reconsideration requests and representation at hearings before administrative law judges, to federal court appeals. In addition to representing clients before the Social Security Administration on initial claims for disability benefits, he has represented clients on long term disability claims, closed period claims, disability claims for children, adult children claims, surviving spouse claims . He has successfully defended clients against claims by the Social Security Administration for repayment of disability and SSI overpayments.
